Herbs For Stressful Times

Stress, especially over the long-term, has widespread impacts on the body, mind and spirit. There are many herbs that can help balance the body's stress response and ease symptoms like tension, insomnia, anxiety and fatigue. From a holistic radical herbalist perspective, this workshop will explore how stress can affect body systems, and how herbs and lifestyle changes can help shift us towards body repair and emotional healing.

Instructor Bio:

Emily Peters is a registered clinical herbalist currently practising at the BC Compassion Club Wellness Centre. She views herbalism as deeply rooted in a relationship with the land-base, and in the desire to create autonomous, healthy communities. She wants to meet people where they're at in terms of barriers to resources, experience, identity, etc and aspires to create a compassionate and non-judgemental healing space.
