Going backpacking this summer? Or, just like to have dried meat on hand for a great snack?

In this workshop, learn how to make beef jerky out of large cuts of meat, and out of ground beef. This live demo will show you which cuts are the best to use, some helpful techniques for slicing and preparing them, and how to flavour and dry it all so you get real good jerky. We will go over theories of drying at home as well as outside, and we'll go over all the helpful hints and tips for you to make your own excellent jerky. 

Instructor Bio:

Jenna Rudolph is the co-founder of the Wilderness Living Project. She has spent a lot of time out on the land, putting ancient technological skills to the test. She is a herbalist and wildcrafter and teaches a week long survival skills class in the summer and teaches at primitive skills gatherings throughout North America.
