Explore the world of putting food in jars!
Join Caitlin Dorward in this introductory workshop to learn all about hot water bath canning, a technique suitable for low-risk foods like jams, pickles, and of course, canned peaches! You'll learn tips for selecting and preparing ingredients, packing jars, and techniques for safely canning at home. In this class, we will work with in-season peaches so you can gain the skills to make delicious canned goods. No experience necessary!
All materials and supplies included. Participants will each go home with a jar of canned peaches.
